Nariyal, Naral Coconut is a hard, hairy, fibre rich brown shelled fruit. Inside the hairy shell, it encloses white mushy flesh and coconut water. Apart from it coconut also yields copra, the dried extracted kernel from which coconut oil is obtained. The white part of coconut may also be grated and mixed with water to make coconut milk which is a good substitute for cow’s milk.
